What happens in an online coaching session

The Discovery and Exploration Call

A Discovery and Exploration Call is a complimentary 30-minute conversation designed to explore where you are now and where you want to grow. There’s no pressure and no hard sell, just a dedicated space for us to discuss your goals and see if my coaching style resonates with your journey.

In an online Discovery and Exploration Call, we will:

1. Identify the Gap: Clarify your current hurdles and your vision for success.

2. Explore the Approach: I’ll explain my coaching methodology and how it aligns with your needs.

3. Check Alignment: We’ll ensure our personalities and expectations click before making any commitments.

Think of it as a 'chemistry check' to ensure we’re the right partnership for your needs.

The one hour coaching session: how I work

A one-hour online session with me is designed to move you from contemplation (thinking about things) to construction (a plan to act). My approach is fluid; I listen deeply to help you find your own answers (non-directive), but will challenge you or offer direct strategies when you hit a wall (directive).

1. The Focus (5-10 Mins)

We begin by defining the "Win" for the hour. What is the most significant challenge you have at the moment that brought you to me this week? 

If we've worked together before and you identified actions you committed to last time, we will reflect on these too.

2. Exploration & Strategy (35-40 Mins)

This is the core of the session.

• Non-directive space: I ask questions that help you uncover your own thinking, areas you missed, and your internal resources.

• Directive partnership: If you’re stuck or need a new perspective, I’ll step in with ways of considering your situation, reflective approaches to try, direct feedback, or specific developmental tools. We don't just talk about the problem, we create the next steps solution.

3. The Action Map (10 Mins)

Coaching without action is just a nice conversation. We finish every session by distilling your insights into clear action items that will have the most benefit or impact for you. You leave the session with a plan for what to do next.

My business is managed and run using Google Workspace which means that Discovery and Exploration Calls, and Coaching Sessions, will take place using Google Meet. Useful Google Meet information:
